Artbutler was founded more than 20 years ago by Dirk Herzer, when vernissages in Berlin were still more commonly held in backyards and artworks were sold between glasses of white wine and wobbly tables. A lot has happened since then. What has remained is our goal: to make working with art easier.

How it all began
Artbutler originated from a consulting project for a gallery. It quickly became apparent that digitization offers enormous potential and that there is a great need for practical software in the art market.
Today, Artbutler is the market leader in the DACH region—and the solution of choice for hundreds of players in the art world: Galleries, Artists' studios, collections, estates, but also institutions and universities.
